Database Design Concepts

In this session Barry Collier covers some of the basic principles of database design. Primarily he looks at the reasons for developing a database and then uses a sample of raw data as the basis of establishing database tables and the relationship between them. The topics he covers are tables, forms, relationships (between tables) including primary and foreign keys. Orientation & Sustainability Assignment

This session, delivered by Eve Gray provides an orientation to Cert III IT students in the first half of the session. The remainder of the session is devoted to the assignment for the sustainability unit. See the link to the right on Orientation & Sustainability Assignment.

Resumption of Online Sessions

At long last the Information Technology Teaching Section at OTEN has resumed running online sessions. These will be a mixture of orientation and specialist sessions. This blog site will be devoted to providing links to the specialist sessions.

e-Waste
The first of these sessions was run by our resident sustainability expert Eve Gray. In this session Eve covered 'What is e-Waste?' and 'What can we do about it?'
