In this session Barry Collier covers some of the basic principles of database design. Primarily he looks at the reasons for developing a database and then uses a sample of raw data as the basis of establishing database tables and the relationship between them. The topics he covers are tables, forms, relationships (between tables) including primary and foreign keys. VLOOKUP() Funtion

The recording to the right covers the VLOOKUP() function in Excel. This particular session was recorded some time ago and it was presented by Eve Gray one of our Information Technology teachers. It was the last session the section did in 2011 and was essentially a closed one as no students were invited to attend. Consequently there is no student interaction in the chat pod there is however an attempt to scribe what is being presented for our audibly impaired students.

Connect Sessions Suspended

All Information Technology Connect Sessions Have Been Suspended

It is with regret that the Information Technology Teaching Section at OTEN has had to halt delivery of its Connect Sessions for the time being. This is due to a resourcing issue to ensure that the sessions are accessable for all students who wish to participate.

It is anticipated that once this issue has been resolved the sessions will resume. Thank you for support and we hope that we can continue to provide these sessions in the near future. We are hopeful that the sessions will resume in Semester 2, 2011.

The IT Teaching Section sincerely apologises to those students who missed out on attending the session this week. Please find the link to the recording of this session to the right.

The Adobe Connect sessions run by the IT Teaching Section are usually run on a Wednesday at 11:00am which can be accessed via the Live link to the right.
