This is the first session in a series on SQL. In this session Barry Collier looks at analysing data in preparation for creating a database and then creating the database using SQL.
The session covers the following points:
  • analysing data in terms of how it would be applied in a database
  • creating a database using SQL
  • loading data from a text file generated from a spreadsheet
  • running SQL in a command line environment (MySQL Server 5.6)
Students will find the content of this Adobe Connect session most helpful for unit ICAPRG425A in both our Certificate IVs and Diploma courses.
